3rd Grade - We will be multiplying by 10, 100, and 1000. We will also discuss multiplying by multiples of 10, such as 20, 50, and 80.
4th Grade - We will be reviewing place value, standard form, expanded form, comparing numbers (>,<,=), and column addition and subtraction. Please continue working your multiples and factors. Y'all did a great job, so keep it up!
5th Grade - You need to practice your long division on your time. Practicing with your multiples and factors will help. We will be working on order of operations this week using exponents. I will teach the students squares and cubes. For example 5 ^2 = 5x5
3rd - This week we will still be adding within 1000 while rounding to the 10s and 100s to check our work. We will also be subtracting within 1000 while rounding to the 10s and 100s to check our work.
4th - We will be covering multiples, factors, prime, and composite again. We will also compare numbers, practice rounding, and ensure adding and subtracting fluency.
5th - We will be multiplying multi-digit numbers using the traditional method, lattice method, and partial products method. We will also be dividing 4 digit by 2 digit numbers using the traditional method and partial quotients.
3rd Grade - This week we talked about adding and subtracting within the 10000. We discussed borrowing and regrouping across zeros.
4th Grade - This week we talked about prime, composite, and factor trees. We also went over prime factorization.
5th Grade - We discussed multiplication of 4 digit numbers and long division. We discussed strategies that we learned last year
